Bewdley > Bed & Breakfast (B&B) > Pewterers House BB

Opened for business in 2004 and of 3 star standard, this BandB is right on the edge of Bewdley Town, in Pewterers' Alley, which is just off the Kidderminster Road, next to the Police Station. Half a minute's walk will bring you to the famous Telford Bridge, which spans the river Severn into town. Or walk in the other direction to the Severn Valley preserved railway, part of the Great Western Railways. The accommodation combines old world charm with modern amenities. All rooms have TV(incl.freeview), tea and coffee making facilities, WI-FI connection and the rooms either have en-suites or private bathroom. Breakfast is what you make it - from the simple to full english and vegetarians can be catered for too. All produce is sourced locally and our butcher cures his own bacon and has won national prizes for his tasty sausages. The house dates from the 1700's and has had a chequered past - as has Bewdley itself, known in the past as the most lawless town on the Welsh Borders ! There is plenty to keep a visitor busy in the surrounding area and from Spring to Autumn, there's usually something going on - then there's the Santa Specials on the SVR over Christmas. Have a look at our new feature on the website for forthcoming attractions.

Directions

Arriving by road, we are 10 miles from junction 5 of the M5. Head towards Kidderminster, using the brown Tourist Boards directions to the Wes Midlands Safari Park. Coming in from Kidderminster on the A546, follow the ring road and signs for the Safari Park and Bewdley Town Centre. Passing the Safari Park on your left, continue toward the Town Centre, under the railway viaduct and Pewterers Alley is the third on the right. It's a little hard to find as it's an unmade road, so if you get lost, call me and I'll guide you in - a lot of people do as SATNAV can sometimes be misleading.
